Folks,

Here is your problem in the flesh. He will be available for a personal talk at the Koolaide booth at Herndon next week. Since he is not longer an ALPA member (he is still a huge member in other terms) he will have to pay ALPA a hefty sum for booth space. The fee will go towards Praters campaign of "Taking it Back." Ignore the vagrants who litter the area..they are just furloughed pilots still waiting for their profession to be restored in addition for the second coming of ALPA National, who will descend upon the masses and return them to their former glory. Fear not...the end is NOT near...it says so in the ALPA rag.

Enjoy the fog my crusty (assumption) little drone.

Members of ALPA, it is time for you to adopt the slogan "Taking it back" but have it directed at your union. It is YOUR union.

Jungle Jett - and I mean that in the most elementary accusation possible for a neophyte - and others,

What part of international ICAO regulations do the immature pilots of the United States not understand? Age 60 was a goner once the United States decided to join the rest of the world aviation community. What part of the rest of the world do you guys not understand?

ALPA had no say in the matter. They were less than a gnat in the issue. So what to do? Resist and die an ignoble death so the dues paying members could feel comfortable that their dues were wasted for nothing or jump on the wagon and have some say in the issue?

US pilots, ALPA pilots what part of reality do you not get in this day and age? Really. I want to know.

Oh, and just to make clear I was an ALPA member who spent most of my time in ALPA as a volunteer and elected official working to overturn age 60 in accordance with my member's directives. I am glad I succeeded in fulfilling my constituents wishes!

...and since then...how many of the ALPA NAtional officers have been recalled?

I think I remember a bunch of talk about recalling John Prater...whatever came of that?

It is a splintered union that is losing its gumption unfortunately. I think most have grown tired of the rhetoric and have chosen to look out for themselves and have focused energy in that direction. They feel battered and torn...I know I did.

Prater will last until he is offered a lobbying job. Whatever happened to a move to decertify ALPA on Praters home turf?
