Please tell me this is not true. If true, it shows why this job is all about pilots being idiots. I am glad I saw the good times. My career earings have been great up to about 5 years ago. 21 years of good pay. I guess it could have been worse.

Aloha Pilots need to move on. Go overseas. but do not fly for free. Good luck on ALPA getting you a job.
Go overseas. I am looking in to many options that could be very lucrative. As soon as my kids get out of high school I am planning on going with my wife to better pastures.

Again, do not fly for free.
It just shows management how desperate pilots are in this country. Whats next. We pay them to fly. Oh, thats right, that has already taken place by PFT whores.

Marty

I met a few of these guys in a meeting with PARC that was setup for them, very nice folks in a tight spot right now so it would be nice if you explain why you say that they are flying for free before you call them idiots

The Aloha pilots are dedicated employees who have always made the necessary sacrifices to keep Aloha in the air

Dedication is one thing, flying without compensation is another.

I just saw a full page ad in Mid Week saying the same thing. Did they work for free for an employer who wouldn't even talk with them for weeks?

Idiots?

What the hell else do you call "professionals" who do not require pay for their professional services? Maybe they are "nice," but that would just make the "nice idiots."

Well this just takes the cake!! For all the Aloha pilots flying for free....YOU ARE ALL MORONS, AND YOU SUCK!!!! I guess management around the industry knows where they can find some scabs if need be. These Aloha clowns are perfect scabs in the making.

And here I thought they were talking strike a couple weeks back. Something about selling off the cargo side and wanting job protection. ALPA is as worthless as tits on a bull!!

I'm sure they are great people, but to work with no compensation is completely ridiculous. They can and should do better for themselves. You guys deserve the best.

This is the advice we get for 1.95%?

Another stellar example of a union that has completely lost touch with reality and the actual purpose they are in existence for. This is an obvious example of National trying to walk on egg shells to not rock their boat with the politicians. If this isn't evidence the ALPA is irreparably broken and beyond repair, I don't know what is.

Maybe it is time for a complete membership dues holiday to force change and policy at the top. The only way these officers lining their pockets with grossly disproportionate salaries of their constituents will change, is to cut off their funding.

Well, this has got to be a new low for ALPA. I think it's pretty safe that the moderator can yank every thread on here about pilots lowering the bar. The Aloha pilots just set a new low.

Every time that I read some crap like this I'm glad that these ********************os are not getting my 2% Jeez

Where's PCL to tell us all how national couldnt possibly be wrong and that this is completely the right move and we are all scabs for opposing ALPA will lol.

Yet another new low for this so-called profession: Working for free. And apparently with ALPA's approval....

:puke:

So let me guess here. ALPA also is advising that you add your back pay as a claim to the bankruptcy court.

Obviously, these guys can't be that stupid to plain fly for free. They must be flying with the expectation that some form of deferred payment is assured should they carry out the cargo ops.

So what's the incentive these guys are flying on? Is there some deal with the prospective buyer of the cargo ops? The article stated that they would not honor the present contract.
