Aloha or Southwest?

I did a turn (Day Trip for those not familiar)for VJA in January that paid 18.30 . 2 legs to LAS and a deadhead back. Long day but worth it!

English... If you are a commuter & all you are looking for are days off, you are right to be stoked in being awarded a line. Don't forget though, you are being paid the same money the first year whether you are a line holder or reserve.

You will fly significantly less on reserve, especially since the -700's have been picking up some interisland flying. Therefore, the best bang for the buck year one is to sit reserve & maybe find some flexible part time work since Aloha's first year pay is the industry's lowest.

What about a comparison of the cultures at the two airlines? I heard they are both pretty similar.
