...if all goes according to plan, tomorrow we take over the world...

By hub do you mean crewbase? A hub is an airport where a certain airline flies a large portion of their flights. A crewbase is where the crews live. Sometimes, they are the same place, sometimes not. Airlines like America West have one large hub and the crewbase is the same city. Delta has crewbases all over, and hubs in a few places. Some airlines outstation base, and the flights all head for the hubs in the morning.

Does anyone know if Declan Ryan was still on the board of Ryanair when they started going south? Perhaps they sold it to this O'Leary guy, and he is responsible for the way they treat people.
Thanks.

You really need to get off the Ryan kick.........getting a little old. Go start a new thread about Ryan if you're that interested in them.

Old? People have been talking about pay for training on this board for years. I'm truly sorry if I'm bothering you, but I'm just looking for some information. If you don't have any, thanks anyway.

How about age of the pilots that got the offer, since senority is going on that? It sounds like a big class , 20-22. And senority(age) is everything. I'm 30. Wondering how close to the bottom I'll be. Also what is your base preference. Mine SFB.

Not to rain on anyone's parade here but...you're excited about making $41 an hour to fly S80 F/O? And then you make Captain in two years for a whopping $72 an hour? They don't pay for hotel during training either? Nice.

That downward spiral of the airline pilot career just got a bit tighter...

Whoop, whoop, Pull Up!

There must not be alot of people left in this industry that like to to it for the flying.

You can pi$$ and moan, or make the best of it.

I hear home depot is hiring!

What's the latest on new aircraft and upgrades? Airlinepilotpay.com says they estimate 50 a/c by the end of 2007. Could that be right? That sounds pretty aggressive for a new company. Do you get any move days after training? Do you get any days off during training? Thanks.

Not to mention the Allegiant guy deserves more respect for starting at the bottom and trying to work up in the industry, as opposed to the American fella' who was at the top and has stagnated in his career progression while working his way down in terms of pay etc. ( as well as having to fly with tools all the time while wearing his hat around the terminal.)

Ouch.

It is because of people like u taking a job at Allegiant that there such a downward pressure on our salaries.. I have no respect for such prostitutes(One who sells one's abilities, talent, or name for an unworthy purpose.)!!!
$85/hr for 5yr/MD80 CA!!!!!!!!!!! That is friggin disgusting. Go on and keep on putting your respect where it counts...
THNX ans Cee U Next Time...

How easy is it to commute while working at Allegiant from DFW to Vegas or Sanford? What kind of insurance package and pay during training? haven't interviewed yet, but they were talking 9-28 class date.

PS- no flames my career already went down in'em
