Just talked to a buddy thats a 75 captain there. Looks like Hawaii will be a crew base in Nov. of this year.
The trips will still be out and backs. With a 3 man crew.... He said its gonna be long days however it will consist of 9 trips a month with a pay of about 94hrs a month.

Not bad having 20 days off a month. Not sure what there pay is, but he's been there about 10 years. I think its great to be home everyday!!

If I was based in HNL I'd definitely rent, not buy. And, month-to-month, not a year-long lease. Ask the folks in LAX....

Reep is right. A few airlines have had bases in HNL only to discover it is too expensive and closed it down. As someone who will be based in HNL, I am going to rent a place on the beach and enjoy surfing everyday until they pull the plug.
As far as schedules go, WSurf is sort of correct. Lines will be brutal unless you are senior. All mixed lines including turns, overnights and reserve days. GEG, BOI and a possible IWA trip (it's being discussed) will have to be overnights. Therefore the 9 days and 90+ hour lines will be few and far between and will obviously go to the senior guys. How do I know this? Saw the "mock lines" they put together for November so no, this isn't 2nd, 3rd, 4th hand information. Of course this is Allegiant so standby for changes.

Actually with flag rules you can fly 120 hours in a 30 day period and 300 hours in a 90 day period. So if you figure 12 hour trips you can see that you will not be able to always fly 8 trips a month as you will go over the limit. The question is whether allegiant will spoil the lines with mixed reserves!
