Then why the heck did take a job on the East to swing gear on the E190, if you are in that seat, i can't imagine you were at Airways very long.....Other companies were hiring when UsAir started flying that jet.....

because I'm only marginally qualified and not nearly the person you are - I'd never get hired. Besides those big airplanes are scary and I suck at flying.

Also I don't want to leave because I love my West "Brothers" - I can't wait to share the cockpit with them.

Shweeeeeet.

Any off the street hiring?

Before you get too excited about coming to work at USAirways, think about USAPA's nonexistant negotiating leverage and the promises they've made to the east and the obligations they'll be forced to honor to the west. That leaves only one group to shoulder all the downside risk - the new hires (aka 3rd listers).

They won't tell you that when they take you out for dinner while in indoc.

Because they won't take you to dinner.

Sometimes, if you can't come up with a good answer, it's best to just let it pass.

Of course if you really want to mix crews, you'll have to plead with the politburo leader Cleary to allow you to vote. If the representation election was any indication, they're pretty lax on voting irregularities. So tell them, "Let My Hamster Vote!"

The state of Wisconsin didn't need to pass legislation restricting the collective bargaining rights of unions. They are just dealing with the wrong union.

USAPA hasn't cost USAirways a dime!

So you want to pay more dues to take out the new hires? Is that your point?

Don't worry, they'll spend plenty of money at the restaurant. They just won't invite any pilots to join them.
