I'm not holding my breath that this is going to result in good news for the 120 of us.

I hope I'm wrong.

Baja,

I sure hope that's true. I've heard that, too. However, I'm still preparing to be furloughed until I hear something otherwise. I hate to say it, but I'm counting on the old guys to go get a life and get out of here.

QCappy,

You have high expectations from at least 25 pilots on the property, especially since they have less than 2 weeks to make such a decision.

Besides, even if we get 25-30 guys to bolt, it may not prevent all 54 from being furloughed. It may simply reduce the furlough number from 54 to 30.

Why? Has anyone added up the salary of those who go (senior) vs all of those up for poss furlough (most junior)?

It's not all about adding up salaries, etc. The "EO" program, if it works, will prevent downgrades (up to 28). Which means that 26 active FOs would still be on the chopping block.

I'm sure the Angle Lake bean counters have it all figured out. *sarcasm*

Did you read the latest from the VP on why the 25-30 range on early outs?

So he want's upcoming furloughees to feel bad because for the first time pilots are questioning a program and giving the company a "black eye"?

As of 4pm on deadline of EO's app requests there were 31 requests. Also told 4 or 5 voluntary leaves. Also rumors or furloughs canceled. This should get interesting.

Baja.

Baja,

I wouldn't hold my breath on the furloughs being canceled. With that said, I
hope you are right and I am way wrong.

Vol fur's & EO req's came from LEC Capt Rep....Fur's X'd came out of SEA base from pilots that "knew" somebody. LEC Rep had no knowledge of this. Time to sit & wait and see what happens.

Thanks for the info Baja. I sure hope your info is true. Life is getting more stressful by the day.

It is getting down to the wire eh? I'm starting to go through my old ski stuff to try and stay warm in the Artic. Is there a post from ANC guys on how to live up there in the winter?

Baja.
