LAX co-terminal
All I can say is.... "thank God I'll be off of reserve come January!". When we actually had our own crew scheduling here in L.A., they were pretty efficient but now that SEA abuses us, I mean controls us, it's anyone's guess. CS will have to have a class on geography of SoCal. Just remember, you have to be at the resource center (jet?? if it's anywhere other than LAX) in 2 hours on "A" days and 4 hours on "R" days (though I haven't had a "R" day in 2 years). A good phrase to remember is "I have the assignment and I'm on my way". No more, no less.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that you can designate one of the five bases as your primary co-terminal base. That way, you only have to be able to report to that base within the allotted time (A=2 hours, R=4 hours). Hope this helps.
