I believe he's referring to the $95 an hour 1st year Captain rate you get when you get your merit based upgrade.

Upgrade's running at 14 months, so no first year captains any more. So it's $100/hr. After 14 months with the company. I guess I have no idea what the income requirements are for food stamps. I would have thought that wouldn't qualify.

Never mind.

Keep talking yourself into it.

Oh, and use a picture of your kid as your avatar on the internet.

(you're right, fubij, it's not worth it)

Any retirement?

Look, guys, I'm not saying the pay is good. All I'm saying is that it's hypocritical to pile on us because of pay when my other option was to make $30/hr at NorthWest. I make more where I am, and it would be about 15 years before I started making more if I had taken the NW job.

If you live in SFO that qualifies .

Don't you go to first year pay when you upgrade to Captain anyway?

How will you make more when the whole madoff style funding scheme gets exposed and your main investors ( Whom you are already in default ) realizing that they cannot even get back their 150 million pull the plug on future funds. Will you guys resort to your average -50% margins to pull in the revenue to bolster your 35 million of cash on hand?

Bransen can only buy so many tickets with the farce travel company before everyone catches on.

" Reaching to the left collar of his black shirt the pilot grasps his galactic chevron.. BEAM ME UP SCOTTY !! "

Chef that is in your honor...

Click Click, you are a one trick pony.

Have you called the DOT with the "facts" about your ticket buying scheme, or was it just a wet dream you had?

I've also heard not all of their fa's are really virgins.

The only thing Alaska's admitting is they cannot compete. It sounds like desperation or just plain panic.

Sorry to hear things are that bad.

This is Hysterical. 80 year old PROFITABLE Alaska Airlines "can't compete" and is becoming desperate with an 18 month old bottom feeder that has lost 88 cents for every dollar of revenue they've brought in...Yep, Bransons got em shakin' in their Muck Lucks.

Actually, there is a presidence set already. Discovery Air tried to start up in Hawaii with too much foreign ownership. Aloha and Hawaiian filed the same petition that AK has and Discovery was shutdown.

If there is a market, then there are jobs in the market. If there aren't, we'll go out of business, and you'll do just fine. Chill the Fck out.

If that were the case Alaska would be doing every airline employee in this country a favor but unfortunately your typical bloggers and second rate media would somehow rationalize that Alaska was instrumental in the loss of american jobs.

Thank you. Finally someone who gets it. Amazing how many virgins are out there saying anything to justify their existance and don't give a rat's ass about foreign ownership. Every other domestic airline should be on this bandwagon because every airline employee has a vested interested in ensuring that startups follow the same rules.
