Its interesting that you associate Joe Leonard as solely responsible for the tragic 191 disaster. Following the accident and the subsequent grounding of the DC-10 fleet, similar hair-line cracks were found on two Continental DC-10s. I don’t in any way justify AAs maintenance procedures and the subsequent “loss” of key documents related to the practices, but why don’t you do a little research before pointing fingers.

I don't know why our management did that. We were just asking to get eggs thrown at us. ASA lost 216,000 bags last year alone, and that counts for our numbers too. And it seems we do have an oversell problem, and when everyone shows up, we need to pay those extra people off--sometimes with $400-500 worth of free tickets. Grrrrreat.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Exactly why did you bring that up? The article said 'Delta' including ASA and CMR. Did it just say "ASA LOST 216,000 BAGS, BUT DELTA AND COMAIR SURE GOT THEIR BAGS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS" As I have said on here before, as we are taxiing out it is DELTA TUGS that are waving at me to stop so they can put on THEIR bags.
Sorry but you need to get out of the car and face reality sometimes. Yeah we lost bags, so what? If you can tell me DELTA and Comair were perfect then you have a case.

Nobody said he was "solely" responsible. He was in charge...that's all. He was the one responsible for the priorities set by his department. He's the one who put pressure on the people in his department doing the work. Was saving time and money given too high a priority in his department? You and I weren't there, so we can't speak to that. The NTSB found their procedures at fault, and he was responsible for those procdures. That much is not open for discussion.

He might be a perfect fit for AirTran, and lead them to future growth and success. That would be nice. But that's not the way it was for the last few airlines he worked for.

If your going to flame or try to flame someone or something you really should be accurate with your statements. Lest you look even more foolish than the argument that your trying to make. As far as me being jealous or envious...get real bro.

Twepilot,
I like the way you prove your point by making a similar mistake. I assume you know the difference between "your" and "you're.":erm:

The poor guy is ex-trans states, hasn't he suffered enough?

I realized that I just didn't like that POS CRJ. A moment of silence for the DoJet please...oh, sorry...wrong board. ;)

Hey, you know who that was that I was jumping on about the moment of silence?? It was the little fat brian who was the jumpseat coordinator, with the horrible attitude. And while we're at it, we're selling in Burlington, paid 2, asking 225. It's killing me. Bastards!!!! Comps didn't increase since you left. I bet your new place doubled already. We're going to Allentown. Take care of the kid and wife (is she getting back in the air?) Jonny Sacko!!!

Where's he go anyway..? Haven't even seen his screenname (crjockey or whatever) on the lounge in a while...

I think it's on the .org site. He's at some 73 outfit moving casino people around, or something like that. I think that's right.
