Dont forget perdiem. 9 years with no change isnt going to work. And lets keep our day dollars(I dont pay for my uniform anymore).

Day Dollars were not going away. They are a company wide thing not part of the CBA. The company can kill that at anytime. I forget what they called it in the TA, but that small monthly payment was ment to be a perdiem incress, but in a way that they would not have to give it to the FAs also.

Well then why dont they take day dollars now? It was going away with this TA. We should get quarter perdiem, plus the supply supplment in the current TA. But it doesnt mattter now, because hopefully we are starting over from our current contract and going forward instead of backwards.

Who said it was going away? Once agian it is NOT part of any CBA.

Anybody else notice that the NPA website now lists the Negotiating Committee as "vacant?"

How about anyone not qualified to fly the line? The reason should be obvious if you fly the 717.

I just had a PC with one of those guys you speak of and I'd much rather work with them than a couple of our senior active pilots that are over there personally. The worst complaint I have about them is that some gossip like teenage girls. I've found that being well prepared for a PC and yes a PT too, is the best defense against any instructor over there.

There was a letter at the end of the TA saying that due to the increased pay rates in the TA, day dollars would be terminated upon ratification of the TA. There were about a half dozen letters at the end of the document; the infamous Holdings letter, emergency sick bank amnesty, day dollars, change in jumpseat policy for offline commuters , long term disability clarification, etc.

Sorry did not bother to read that far into the POS.

nice

I think AAI owes the rejection of the TA to the firing of Lear70 and others. No better way to piss off a pilot group than to fire a guy who's hurt. Doesn't really matter what the company had on him, that was a huge mistake by the company. Typical airline management spending a dollar to save a dime. Good luck guys.

Yes. Yes. YES. I meant that my pay would go down(monthly credit) not my pay RATE....Damn. Give somebody the benefit of the doubt....others got it. I READ THE CONTRACT. I will restate that I am glad for the NO vote so that THE AMOUNT OF MONEY IN MY PAYCHECK EACH MONTH WILL NOT DECREASE. On RSV with the current contract I am paid about 95 hours of credit when I fly roughly 65-70 hours. This TA would have paid me 70 hours of credit for flying 65-70 hours. That, in my book, would have been a PAY CUT. 25 hours less. 25X42.75= $1068.75(gross)....that would have been huge for me. I already took a paycut to come here.

Check the side letters at the end of TA2. About page 210..

Dear Captain ****** :
This will confirm our agreement concerning future Pilot participation in the Company' s Day Dollar attendance program. In consideration of the economic improvements contained in the newly negotiated collective bargaining agreement, Pilot participation in the Day Dollar attendance program will cease as of January 1, 2008.The Day Dollar program, initiated by the unilateral action of the Company several years ago, has served its purpose and we have agreed that it is appropriate that Pilot participation in the program is discontinued.

Sincerely,

No matter how much tartar sauce they put on TA2 (AKA "The Deuce" m-kay?), it still looked and smelled like a wrinkled-nosed toilet trout.

...yeh, Newnan yer right about the defense, studying is good...and who knows, it might help on that dark night goin into FNT when that MC/MW comes on-AHHHHH!...and thank god we don't gossip like those guys...God Bless Dutch!

The day dollars they were taking away paid more than the professional supplement we were supposed to get. $22 a month? I figure that comes to about .07 cents/hr. Whoopee!
