Just voted. What's everyone think about the chances of it passing? I haven't been flying much lately, so I don't know what people are saying out on the line.

No one seems to know about it on the line. After 4 days I found only 2 that knew a vote was coming, and not one person that that had an opinion about even IF they were going to vote.

Since over 200 didn't even vote on the TA's, I predict less than 40% turn out for this one. This vote is going to demonstrate a very anemic pilot group. More fodder for management being served up shortly. Sorry, the glass is way more than half empty from where I sit.

You're probably right about turnout, though. Getting 50% to even vote in rep elections is tough enough. Something like this probably will go unnoticed by most of the pilot group.

I can see that your union has some problems comunicating with its membership, if they don't know a concessionary T/A vote is out. That is a serious problem. No wonder you want ALPA.

Do you know what actually went on? From what I understand it is just a pissing contest between MB and someone from the NC that has gotten blown way out of proportion.

isnt United ALPA? What about USAIR? Most of the regionals are as well. Isnt MESA ALPA?
Yeah, all that ALPA money is certainly doing them so much good.
Unions are only as strong as the union members. The FOs make so little money that they could all lose their jobs and find that a lot easier than Captains. This is a refugee airline. A lot of the Captains are either too old to start new, came from other airlines, or just could not get hired by a good company. About 40% of the pilots still voted for that garbage TA.

Every pilot by now has a computer, has email. NPA has sent out many emails to all the pilots I know. Now, if people do not read the email=that is their fault, not NPA.

In the past that was true, but not now. All I know is a lot of my friends and I came here by choice not because we had too. So that leaves us with two option we fight to make it better or move on. I can see your choice has been made.
