That hurt Lear=thanks for your contribution !! You post on everything on FlightInfo ?? Go get a hobby, buy a boat, buy a bike..

We are thinking of ways to save the company money, not rip the company off. I look at other airlines and their operations, and wonder why SWA has a base in all these cities? Yes they have hotel stays, but they have alot of day lines too !!! Oh and yes so does CAL, they start with sch. day lines, not 4 days and work backwards. CAL you can cancel your hotel room and CAL pays you 20.00 for every hotel room you cancel. (I beleve it is 3 days in advance)

wait - nobody told me I could bring a boat with me on overnights. And I thought lugging this laptop was a pain in the butt sometimes.

as far as bikes go, I have:

1. Gary Fisher MTB
2. Merckx Leader w/ ultegra
3. Merckx MX Leader w/ campy centaur
4. Merckx Corsa Extra (slurpee team colors, not built up)
5. Vin Dessel cross bike (single speed)
6. Bianchi Pista track bike (interm) while I await Mr. Pete Dreesens to finish my custom track bike (oversize lugged and catered for track sprinting, should be ready by sept).

Scarlet, if you want to save the company money, why don't you start by volunteering for the Leave of Absence? I'm sure the CA's that have had to fly with you would appreciate it...

I don't post on very many threads on FI at all, actually, mainly just the ones where AirTran is discussed and someone says something ignorant or outright stupid. Or when someone from our company says something ignorant or outright stupid,,, on another airline's thread, perhaps...

With your rate of posts in the last year, you're going to pass me pretty quickly in total posts... as far as a hobby, kind of hard to have one when an immoral company forces you into a job flying 21-22 days a month and you're sitting somewhere in a hotel room after flying 13-16 hour days.

The lack of morality in this company just comes through again and again and again, and they just got through doing it again, yet you make one of your thinly-veiled protectional statements of them AGAIN? Even when YOU were one of the 177 about to be terminated as a threat to get what they wanted in a contract?

You have to be the biggest management suck-up of all time. Seriously.

Incidentally, a VIRTUAL base in MCO or BWI wouldn't greatly surprise me, but an actual base there with actual real base requirements would shock the crap out of me. Personally, I think the company is scared to DEATH of MemRat and is going to get as many LOA's through as they can before MemRat can be brought to vote and nips all that crap in the bud. MCO and BWI just *MIGHT* be a virtual base LOA sooner than later.

Some may like it in the beginning but, just remember, as a wise man who has been at this company much longer than me once said, "With virtual bases come virtual rules. Prepared to be screwed, it's what the company does."

why do we think that Vjet management would do anything that the pilot's want, even if it made business sense?

Of course he won't, he was $hit-canned at the Tranny.

1st thing Air Tran should do:

"Get Rid of all those Wackos in the Training Department"

Aviation Training has moved on to the next century. No longer do pilots need to know how many rivets hold the wing together.

This isn't the 1980's anymore. You need to know the cockpit well and you need to know >> things the pilot can Actually FIX. The bullcrap >> Like how the ailerons and trib tabs work is simply trivial. Heck.. you have guys that can't make a smooth landing on a short field. Professionals ahh ?

Thats my 2 cents!!

He won't show up.
Of course not, you dork. I don't work at AAI anymore.

I'm on a 15-day trip, I will be back Tues Aug 4th and home until Aug 10th. Feel free to let me know when you're available during those dates, or you can just post who you are on here...

I think you're too chicken-sh*t for the latter.

Being the intelligent professional you are, I take it you are wanting to meet over a beer to discuss matters at hand. My four year old has a dentist appointment for the 6 and I fly until the 5 so anytime on that Thursday or Friday on the Southside you name it.

Might need to make it breakfast I have my daughters after school.

If you hadn't insulted me, a beer would be fine. Now you'll have to buy breakfast AND beer...

Being the intelligent professional you are, I'm surprised at the insult, but impressed you owned up to it... Taking my 2 1/2 year old son to visit my Mom's farm on Friday, it'll have to be Thursday.

By the way if airtrans management had half the ethics of the Chick-fil-a management does we would be twice the size of Southwest.
