Hey Old Man, Didn't Valuejet make their guys cough up $12000 for their training? Then it was miserable pay and work rules to follow. Get off your "principle" high horse. And by the way, SWA never charged anyone a fee to get hired. They required a type rating and it didn't matter where it came from. Until now I thought you were pretty level headed but you touched a nerve with your self righteous attitude on that one.

Not meaning to be self righteous at all. Just an opinion.

Previous arbiter says pay and work rules are factored in to SLI, to the dismay of some AAI blowhards...

"Simply stated, the rates of pay, rules and working conditions in the Chautauqua Pilots' collective bargaining agreement, are far superior to those found in the Shuttle America Pilots' collective bargaining agreement. As a result of the acquisition Shuttle America Pilots will be the beneficiaries of the superior rates of pay, rules and working conditions found in the Chautauqua Pilots collective bargaining agreement."

far superior...does that sound similiar?

Yeah, except that Shuttle America was bankrupt, had a contract that was gutted in bankruptcy, and the very existence of the airline was in question.

Feel lucky? Take your chances with arbitration, but tell it to your union, don't waste your breath on us. Tell 'em let's go to arbitration . . . Then go get a hobby.

Some of you SWA folks are like Amway salesman. You're convinced that you're right, and insist on pushing your belief on everyone else. Give it a rest, you aren't winning anyone over, you're just getting ignored.

The topic of this thread is about Bermuda. See you on the other side. . . . .;)

Ty, you are just as bad about being convinced you are right dude. Watch out for your glass house. The way it's going none of us are going to have any walls left. No one here is right until it is over. Back to the pink beaches of Bermuda.

This is Da Tranny we work for. What do you think ?

If they can push it to a turn, they'll try. If they can fly it seasonally, in the wrong season. They will.

If they are forced to have an overnight; It will be constantly needed to conduct IOE by some near octogenarian with a sack full of Viagra and bad intentions
If that were shorter, I'd make it my signature line... holy crap that's some funny stuff!

(sorry for the delay, was on vacation) :D

HaHaHa. Really? I mean really? You've got to be kidding me.

Night and day brother!

Not saying there isn't a big difference in contracts. I simply stated that we are less than half as old as an airline. Your rates weren't at the top until approx. 2004 when all the legacies went through concessionary/bankruptcy contracts. It took Swapa approx 35 years to climb to the top. AAI could be the next great place to be or the next bankruptcy. That will be determined by people way above our pay grade. You nor I can predict where we will be in 10 years. If history is any indication SWA won't stay on top. I sure hope it does but there are no guarantees in this business. You can think what you want but it is just your opinion. We all have them.
