I was gonna say something but my tiny little chicken brain just can't handle it...

I think your experience should count for something besides just getting the flying job, (ie. pay which doesn't directly screw another pilot) but I don't think it should count for scheduling, vacation or seniority list based stuff (ie. things that can potentially screw other pilots). The only problem is that compaines wouldn't hire pilots with more years of airline experience then if they had to pay them more.
