Listen to Fudgepacker, the Alaska B-scale God King of ALPA. His steel nuts got him a 20% pay cut, a B-scale and codeshare. Bravo!!!

What a Gomer......

Exactly. That's why that whole "Hired, not acquired" argument is pure BS. Personally, I think the AAI guys would have been better served to torpedo this whole AIP sideshow and let the arbitrator decide.

Frankly, I believe in straight DoH in any merger, but look what the AWA guys accomplished by going for binding arbitration. They IMPROVED their seniority significantly by presenting a cogent argument to the arbitrator.

The Pickleballers went in and screamed "DOH" like a bunch of spoiled brats and look where it got them.

The SWA boys would have gone in and screamed "Hired, not acquired" and would have lost equally badly.

However, it looks like the majority of the AAI pilots are reacting to the God King putting a gun to their heads and will vote for this abortion.

Just an opinon, but a little steel in your sack at this point would probably pay huge dividends in the end.

No....it would have ended in two company's never being integrated and a bunch of JV pilots being put on the street. You can play the ALPA game all day long, be ALPA met its match in dealing with this company. ALPA is not driving this deal and it burned them up and I hope they do vote it down. This is not a typical airline deal and BM means nothing if the company's are not brought together......you ALPA koolaid drinkers never learn...look what a great job ALPA did for United

Dude, I can completely understand and even happily agree with your hate and disdain for all things ALPA, but the JV comments are undermining any credibility you might otherwise have. There are folks over here that have resumes that would undoubtedly put yours to shame. You really need to find a way to continue hating ALPA while not trashing and spewing vitriol about a mostly good group of guys and gals. You're clearly making yourself miserable.

Carry on.

Some of guys may not vote. It is not democratic when you have a gun to your head, so why bother. That is a dictatorship. There may be a low turn out. That will benefit the Yes vote.

Just ignore him. There's our small group of vocal pilots who are voting no, and think that if they shout loud enough and often enough, that they might change people's minds. As if that ever happens. Like most of the people who are a little less emotional, I predict passage by 70-80% on both sides. Then we can actually put this behind us and work together... you know, rag on Fubijaakr together, instead of from opposite sides of the fence. :)

Move along, folks. Nothing to see here. Show's over.

flyinvixin's post need to be forwarded to swa mgmt and he needs to be revealed for who he is so everyone on the swa seniority list can move up one number. HE needs to go. he is polluting the swa culture.

Vixin is a "she" and most likely a "quota" hire at that. That sense of entitlement with little accomplishment is apparent. Can usually spot them a mile away.
