If true, UA will lose the most..........that's AFTER screwing the employees in bankruptcy.

No wonder they're desperate to merge with somebody. If they don't soon, they won't be able to pay their employees the little they left them.

Don't know if these are current estimates but I could believe the UAUA numbers. They still have about 6 billion dollars of money, most of it ours, in the bank to blow through. If these are good numbers we'll still make money on the year in spite of our management. I did just go to yahoo finance to look up estimates though and some of these are off though.

That's actually the beauty of the situation. UAL will just LOWER wages (again) via whatever method allowed. This will result in a profit margin in the black (which is good for shareholders especially UAL management types who have so so many shares)! It's pure GENIUS!

A mix of Schwab, Morningstar, Argus, Rueters, S&P's Opinion, and Goldman Sachs. The estimates are SIMPLY based on current trends and total outstanding shares. These estimates can change every day according to opinion change.

The number for AAI is accurate. AirTran keeps an updated earnings estimate on its investor relations website. The last update was just a few days ago, and it matches this.

These numbers can and do change, sometimes daily. The numbers do reflect the current concensus among investment houses.

Airline - 3rd qtr

and actually LCC has changed since this post. Now +.05 a share 4th qtr estimate.

Where do you guys have bases now? I know you opened up FLL and I think a couple other bases in Florida.

How many pilots do you have now? I can't remember the exact number but I think there was only about 100 pilots when I was there. I left in Sept. 05'

I was only there for about 6 months and the upgrade at the time was only about 8 months. What is it now and are you guys still getting a bunch of MD80's?

Second week of DEC update and it seems to be getting worse.
 
Maybe the airlines have realized they are a failing business model. They are trying to divest their assets (e.g., regionals, frequent flyer programs, maintenance facilities). They are basically having a yard sale for the stock holders so they can take their money and run.

True,...can anyone post the first 3 quarter numbers? Last quarter I believe it was a $360m profit...just curious how the WHOLE year averaged....for UAL and others...I believe it was positive as a whole.? It is typical for a company to have a bad quarter historically. I have seen the estimates not be true too..will have to just see.

Like the other airlines that did the BK thing did not screw the employees too! WAS NOT JUST UAL!

Last week of the fourth quarter. Looks like a small profit and breaking even for most airlines except the old stallwarts, FDX and UPS.
