That article wasn't too surprising. Everyone knows the DAL Diesel 9s are old and way past their prime (gas hogs). Have you flown on AA MD80s lately? They are seriously looking their age - beat-up and dilapidated. How will AA replace 300+ MD80s over time? Do they have enough 737-800 orders to cover them in the coming decades?

If you guys insult my airplane one more time I am going to.... do nothing about it. :( I actually enjoy flying it, still. It can be a lot of work to manage the heat in the summer, but the 9 is sneaky and grows on you. Oh, we we are still flying N401EA around. I think it was Eastern, Republic, Northwest, now Delta..

"1978 ish - too bad when the first girl I thought was hot turned out to be a crack whore."

Well...WHY was that a "bad thing"?

Seems to me that, for about 10 bucks...you could have "cocked out with the rocks out. "

:)

Was crack around in 1978. Probably a coke head or heroin addict is more realistic. Crackheads always seem to be less attractive for some reason.

Indeed it was .... Richard Pryor set himself on fire in 1980 whilst freebasing cocaine. Thankfully his moustache was unharmed.
