A look at today's closing prices for the Top 10 US airlines is jaw dropping across the board. Many have fallen more than 65% below their 52 week highs and none are stable.

I bet your all happy you voted for BUSH. Look, we burn about a third of the worlds oil. Put a massive gas tax out there and a more stringent mpg law and bam - people start buying smaller cars and bam - the price of oil decreases. And finally bam - airlines become profitable again. And bam - we can get a raise.

Now please rebuke my premis all you Cookie cutter neo conservative ffdos. And use facts not your typical rhetoric.

Yeah, cause Billary and Obama are running on a platform of massive gas taxes. Uh huh. They will git-r-dunn 4 U!

So how "massive" a gas tax are you advocating anyway? Oil going from 18 to 110/bbl has the same effect as a tax. Not only that, an extremely large tax that I bet 10 years ago not even the most hard core socalist pinko would have seriouslly advocated. So we have the high cost burden, yet we still drive 85 MPH to the store 10 miles away (each way) to get a gallon of milk. So would you increase gas taxes to what price per gallon? 20? 30 dollars? Whatever it takes to eliminate the evil SUV? Wow you should run for office and stuff.

So oil jumps to 110 because of the housing bubble which popped because of Clinton's socalistic community reinvestment act which kicked off this easy credit, botique mortgages for everyone bubble in the first place, and bam, we're in a borderline self induced oil price crisis and bam, you are advocating higher gas taxes and bam oil is already contributing significantly to a recession and bam your "massive" additional tax idea would make it worse.

Police officers accidentally discharge their weapons sometimes. Let's do away with the law! Hippy anarchy for all! By the time I get to Woodstock! Yeah man! Lenin was righteous dood!

By the way this country was founded by extreme ultra right wing conservatives, far more to the right than George "big spender" Bush. If I had to guess, I would assume you usually vote dem or indy, but for reps ths year you probably were rooting for Ron Paul. Yet he would have slaughtered your beloved left wing safety hammock, and I'm betting you wouldn't have likes that one bit.

So which candidate will sucessfully tax us out of our present energy situation?

And oh by the way, Robin Hood was a republican. He took back the people's money from a tyrranical government with high taxes and returned it to the people that earned it in the first place. But I'm sure you knew that. :smash:

Then bam, OPEC decides to cut its production due to the decrease in US demand. Then bam, oil remains at over $100 per barrel. And then bam, companies like Exxon get to post multi billion dollar quarterly profits.

This has nothing to do with FFDOs tool.
