Ah, don't worry. All the old Indy Air management retreads are too busy mismanaging Compass, and throwing puppiens off the roof of the HQ to revive their nightmare.

Is it really that bad over there? Are we talking 26 memory items bad or just "Hang the pilots first and ask questions later," bad?

United.. right. They spent 90 mil to get out of the contract for 40 A320's 3 yrs ago. Managment at Ual and other airlines are pros at tripping over dollars to save pennies. I guess anything is possible. My scenario would be a large order of C series jets and then form an alliance with republic. Once the alliance is formed, "we have a nice deal for you on these jets" and then they would not have to worry about scope.

Don't count on that one...jeeze.

The 321 couldn't even hold a candle to the 757. It was a VERY POOR attempt by Airbus to compete with the 757. I hope that AA is not THAT STUPID! If they are...enjoy fuel stops and cruising at FL230. That would be a sad day.

Which one of these went out of production because no airline was ordering them?

Which type is still being delivered, built, ordered etc?

More the "hang first, ask later" type of stuff. Absolutely, the most reactionary group of managers I've ever seen.

Director of X: "Hey, what was that word again that means like, acting in anticipation of future problems, needs, or changes?"

Director of Y: "What?"

Boeing stopped building the 757 because they have the 737-900ER which basically is the new 757 (unfortunately). The 739ER is a dog but that is Boeing's answer to the A321. Boeing (and nearly every other corporation) is run by bean counters too. Words like synergies, consolidation, efficiencies, and mergers make these people jizz in their pants. People aren't concerned with producing quality anymore because middle class consumers are cheap w************************* and always take quantity over quality. Expect more fuel efficient plastic airliners in the future with plenty of fuel stops and cruise altitudes at FL230, all for 5% savings!

5% ?! Bean counters get orgasmic over .05%. If you go all the way to 5% they all may just drop dead.
