Mesa - they found another suck-er to lend them money. Ornstein plans on using them on the hourly Farmington-Phoenix shuttle, plus interisland in Hawaii for Go!.
 
Have heard rumblings of AMR perhaps having discussions with Airbus recently. The thought process was to acquire A321 to replace some of the 75's.

Does AMR even operate any Airbus types? It wouldn't seem to make sense to add an entirely new fleet with no commonality to anything they currently fly.

no it does not... but i wouldn't put anything past them. If the price is right, anything's possible. I do know that the A321 does not even come close to comparing with the performance/range of the 757.

They operated a fleet of A300's for years half the size of this order
 
The order is through a third party leasing company. The airframes will be split amongst several carriers.
