Half ur pilots ? So how about the other half . As for pay I have not looked at it since Southwest bought AirTran. It must have changed .

Most of the other half were ex mil, MidEx/TWA, and guys who came up flying night freight like me. Point is all of us left regionals or jobs better than regionals to come to AT. In the last contract the FO rates were not so hot, but the upgrade time was 3 years and Capt's still topped out at $150+/hr...hardly regional rates.

If the point you were trying to make was that SWA was a better job and company to work for I agree. We had a pretty good little airline here, some warts and all. With better management it could've been a great job. Either way, we are part of SWA now and I am embracing that moving forward.

+1 Carl. Welcome aboard over here when you transition. I'm ready to start pulling on the rope together, with everyone of you. Let's move forward.

Carl I did not mean I offend u in any way, sorry . It is the pay for training know it all PCL ,mr ALPA that is wrong every time he types. I can just imagine the damage he will bring over to SWA.

From what I know now about AT now, I agree 150% about your statements. I do see where you guys are coming from.

I couldn't imagine what the TWA/MidEx guy and gals have been through. especially the families.

Red...I am too. A meaningful, and very important, first step towards that goal would be to end the pay rate inequality...the B-scale wages. I sincerely hope that SWAPA sees the benefit of that, in more ways than one, and gets it done in Contract 2012.

Thanks Red, I appreciate that! Looking forward to everyone wearing the same uniform and working towards the best future possible for SWA!

outerlimits,

Thanks, no harm done bro.

Texman,

I look forward to buying you a cold one or three :)!

Agreed. Absolutely you guys should be paid the same.

I have a question for the Southwest guys.

Why can't the AirTran pilots become SWAPA now. I would think it would be beneficial to all for SWAPA to represent all ASAP.

I would think most AT pilots ( not all) would rather get away from ALPA.
