Red...I am too. A meaningful, and very important, first step towards that goal would be to end the pay rate inequality...the B-scale wages. I sincerely hope that SWAPA sees the benefit of that, in more ways than one, and gets it done in Contract 2012.

I have to agree with the others- I don't like you on that pay rate, but you know when you will be- in the meantime, I don't appreciate you calling your negotiated pay rate a b-scale. You aren't represented by Swapa yet, not on SWA schedules and Swa doesn't have all the integrated economies of scale that justify it- It's the rate you guys negotiated with your union taking into account the type, size and profitability of your operation- you'll be on our pay scale soon enough, in a set agreed time, as you transition and the company starts realizing the efficiencies.
Greed does not rule the roost around here.

SWAPA was more than happy to sign the agreement keeping us on our pay scale. Now the camel's nose is in the tent. If you think GK is in any hurry to get your IT problems worked out you need to submit to a drug test. This is managements wet dream.
With all due respect......Greed rules everything there.

I would think that SWAPA could negotiate something to the effect of -"All pilots on the AirTran side of the partition that are awaiting transition will be paid the same as a SWA pilot, whether that be the 717 or 737".

SWAPA doesn't represent anyone on the AirTran side of the partition, so they can't negotiate anything for us.

And I don't appreciate being on a b-scale, but that's reality. We have two sets of pilots working for the same carrier (remember, SOC is already done) making different pay rates at the same longevity on the same aircraft. That's a b-scale.

SWA doesn't fly B-717's.

Furthermore, you were given the opportunity to fly for A-scale rates but you turned that down. Don't come bitching to us about your bad decisions.

...but AirTran does fly 737-700s.

True. And you will get those rates when you come to over to SWA.

AGAIN, you were given the opportunity to get OUR rates to fly the B-737 AND B-717. You were told that should you say no, that those rates would be taken off the table. Your MEC said no and gave the middle finger to SWA and SWAPA. So, SWA kept their promise.

Many of us here tried to warn you but you just wouldn't listen. You defiantly said to VOTE NO! Your MEC made your bed.

Now it is time to lay in it.
