She WAS on the jumpseat, and if everything went find the fed was going to give her a type that day(the report says the next day, but the story I heard was that day) also. The only people on the plane were RE, the fed, and KR.
Refrence the NTSB report....
"The jump seat observer identified herself as the daughter of the airplane's owner and was reportedly preparing for a commercial type rating in the CV240 the following day"
"The three persons aboard the Convair 240 were uninjured"
Even if she was an observer, I would say it was in her best interests to point out the fact the gear was not down and the warning horn was going off. Especially when she was a type rating canidate that was going to go next(or soon).
