Dear Fly-Bi$exual,

Speak not of what you do not understand. In this case it is Air Tahoma that you do not know about, so shut the F up and go back to your switch-hitter chat-rooms.

Maybe some of us who know what we're talking about can actually save some lives.

b-bye!

GO BUCKEYES!!!

Man all this love on here reminds me of ground school when one of the officers of the company takes time out his day to tell your class of new hires why he hates pilots and how pilots are whats wrong with the industry and how many thing you can get fired for and how he single handedly ruined the lives of the people that worked for an Airline just because they wanted a better QOL..[anyone remember the name of the airline??] Also how many people he knows in the industry and will ruin your career if he wants too..

You wouldn't happen to be speaking of Wein Air would you?

AAAhhhh that I just mightbe.. Isnt that the Airline that someone claims to have shut down to bust the union.. How dare those pilots think they needed a better QOL.. He really showed them..

So, in other words, ALPA has a history with the owner of ATI doing auspicious things? They may not even know he's now running another carrier.

Mr. Rude seems to wear the Wein Air Alaska demise as a "merit badge". That's sad the crowning achievement of a man's career is the screwing of a great airline. But as he says, "I really showed them when they wanted a union, I shut the place down".

Even more sad Mr. Rude named his son after the founder of the same airline he proudly screwed over.

I wonder if there are any former WAA guys on here?

Consistent too: Bud's daughter geared-up a plane on a check-ride so she's Director of Safety.

Wait a minute.

I'm not defending Air Tahoma-they sound like a crappy company.

However, I read the accident report, and Bud's daughter was an observer on that flight. A passenger. How can you say she geared up? I read the ntsb report and she wasn't occupying any pilot seat.

How bout bashing the three men that were in the cockpit?

CV-240s only have two pilot seats plus one jumpseat. How did they have her plus three others? I don't get the math.

She WAS on the jumpseat, and if everything went find the fed was going to give her a type that day(the report says the next day, but the story I heard was that day) also. The only people on the plane were RE, the fed, and KR.

Refrence the NTSB report....

"The jump seat observer identified herself as the daughter of the airplane's owner and was reportedly preparing for a commercial type rating in the CV240 the following day"

"The three persons aboard the Convair 240 were uninjured"

Even if she was an observer, I would say it was in her best interests to point out the fact the gear was not down and the warning horn was going off. Especially when she was a type rating canidate that was going to go next(or soon).

Was she the safe-t officer then or was she promoted to that position after the gear up? What ever happened to that pilot..

RE is back with Air Tahoma as a 240 Captain. Seems the regionals don't like his little obsession with alcohol......

Atleast he's confortable with crashing N156PA

Can anyone tell me how a companies head of safety can live in W.A. and keep safety issues under control in O.H.???? do you think they commute everyday to O.H.??? anyone???

i wonder if the safety officer for this company was in town when the last 580 crashed ??? wasnt she the one in the last crash of a convair ???
