The President signed HR 4343. Evidently he decided that one more day of pilots
getting hosed was one day too many.

It's over. The age of our retirement is now 65.
The efficiency of getting it through eventually is breathtaking.
Introduced and passed by the House on Tuesday.
Given to the Senate and passed there on Wednesday.
Signed into law on Thursday.
After years of being sent to committees to sit and die, the final version gets passed in three days.
Amazing.

Past in three days with no votes against. My ? is where all the oppostion came from the last few years and/or who just caved when it was time to vote.

So the FAA is not required for the implementation of the new age? A pilot who's 60th birthday is tomorrow can continue to fly for 5 more years?

AA pilots union website... been following it all day. the only union who attempted to take a stand!!!

Yaaa....and their stand had so much influence on Capitol Hill that the total vote in the House out of 435 members was 390-0...Thats a zero...nada...zilch...not even a token "no"...
