What a bunch of lazy-a$$ Frogs. What's wrong with working like the rest of the world. This figures though, remember the Frogs take 2-3 hour lunch breaks and nothing gets done all day. They are all part of the “Wine Tasting” crowd.

From the guy who didn't return to UAL like he claimed he would, And snubbed his nose at a lucrative deal overseas, AND is likely a principal in a lawsuit against ALPA suing for damages on age 65 representation. But he's not in a real big hurry on the lawsuit. Like the rest of his generation, he wants the money but doesn't actaully want to do the work.

Doctors and most professionals work as long as they are capable.

The airline industry has taken a step in the right direction.

Deal with reality, or move on and go to an airline that offers quicker upgrades .

How you react says alot about your character.

Many of the whiners and moaners would not even pass their upgrades because they can't deal with change or adversity. Would you really want them flying a plane with paying passengers?

Look out for old pilots becoming new hires

The end-game for continued cost competition among airlines is to hire old pilots that never get very senior before they hit 65 - keeps your pilot cost structure low. Look for the next Mesa to be "Old Geezers Airlines".

News flash, genius. Doctors and most professionals don't operate on a strictly seniority system. They can take their years of experience and command comparable compensation from another employer.

If you honestly think you can just go to a comparable airline that offers a quicker upgrade, you are beyond clueless. That's options that doctors and other professionals have. We have to start at the bottom of another list.
The best part is where you admonish us for not dealing with reality.

The author of the statement below has no business commenting on character.

My Hero. You must be the only pilot in the history of aviation that has never once complained about anything ever. Especially about something that means hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost income and missing five more years of your kid's life. Because if you did, that would make you unfit for command because you can't handle adversity, right?

Age-65 guys should be the first to get furloughed.
Best idea I've heard in a long time.

We did this to ourselves....Nobody to blame but ourselves on this.....Talk about shooting ourselves in the foot.....

How did this get to the top again?

Oh, somebody must have voted.

Thought this horse was beaten to death.
