Take a step back and look at what you have done...and not just on this board. Yet, the blind will never see. Others who just retired from qx had class. They said "It's been great to work with you all. Now it's time for something else." Put this crap behind you and move on.
Remember, Klako refuses to confront his personal demons....He would rather hide under his 4-stripes and exercise his "Capt authority" until age 90, burying his internalized problems under the cover of work, authority, and rank. I am sure he loves to show his ATP 8000+ hour 48 year old copilot the proper way to pick up a clearance from ATC. "Uh, yeah, I like to keep it brief, you know, the AIM only requires XXXXX"
He even is planning to be an FAA Inspector when he retires. You think if he got some 40,000 a year Cheyenne PIC job at the local airport, 20 hours a month, home every night, on top of his retirement, he would take it? No way. He needs power, influence, and respect.
If Klako was offered "look, you will keep your Capt salary. You will keep your ability to bid trips, etc as a Capt. BUT, you must sit right-seat on all flights past age 60. Hey, we worked this out with the FAA. You are getting a window seat, you are still flying, you are still in the fraternity. What do you say?"
That too would be refused, as "unfair" and not the "sought after result" he was pursuing.
Klako refuses to come back on this thread and instead post on his blog his ramblings about Age 60, as a way to release his demons and struggles, not unlike a "letter to yourself". Not unlike letters to yourself, nobody is really reading his blog either. Klako, if it makes you feel good, hey, keep writing.
He chooses to deflect his own accountability to others, on this thread, and elsewhere, as being the problem.
The problem is not located on this message board, nor with his Congressman, nor with the FAA rulemaking committee, etc.
The problem is in his mirror.
