I'm just saying if I were in your shoes I would have a couple back up plans

Thanks for the heads up Captain Obvious. Your insightful research into the nature of the airline industry leaves me breathless.

I think you guys might be right in some respects but the one thing no one mentioned is ASA. How do they paly into the plan. I really think 1 of 2 things is happening here.

1. Maybe Delta is pulling ACA jet out of Boston to make room for Comair to enter the market. As a fomer Bus Ex and Delta employee, I know how valuable the routes in the Northeast are to DL and the operation in Boston. So they are not going to abandon pwm-bos, bgr-bos, btv-bos ect ect ect.

2. Possibly Delta is reallocating the resources of comair to ATL to cover the operation in case of a strike by either the F/A or Pilot unions at ASA. If comair is flying the same routes as ASA then it would not be considered a struck route becasue they are already in the market. They do not want to get caught with their pants down like they did in CVG.

Finally, they may have plans to terminate the agreement with ACjet....I have heard some rumblings from my delta friends regarding that possibility

Never was called ACA Jet and hasn't been ACJet for a couple years now. It's all ACA, regardless of aircraft type.

Someone will have a windfall at BOS---because we are building a new terminal there and it will be very nice, with connections to Europe and probably the West Coast eventually. I bet ASA will get it---but I don't know for sure......Comair will probably get more West Coast stuff--like more SLC flying...

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

Actually I am guessing Comair will get it becasue of thier presence in the N.E. and Skip has made it perfectly clear that he does not want ASA operating the the N.E. and prefers to move ASA out west. That is pretty evident with us losing most of the northern cities including White Plains to Comair. Now Another JFK flight is Comair. To name a few more N.E. cities that are comair out of ATL.....DCA, BWI, ISP, MHT, PIT, ROC, BUF, SYR, CLE, YYZ, YUL....Just to name a few....SOme are all comair some have a mixture of both but not for long! Watch out YOW UR next to Comair.

Last I checked I thinkt ASA only has 1 or 2 flights out of CVG to DFW.

I am with patriotflier. I too think that Comair is more situated to take care of buisiness in the north east and ASA in the west. We are seeing a lot of expansion out west this year.

The only real problem that I see is that with the 70's now expanding in ATL (due to some complaining senior guys in ATL) and 50's moving to DFW, the hubs will be intigrated more by ATL 70's moving through DFW to the west and DFW 50's moving through ATL to the east. If one hub gets slow due to WX or?, the other hub will be also effected more so than the current situation. For instance, every flight last month and this month into OAK (which is the aircraft that I pick up and fly back to DFW) has been late because of late arriving into DFW from ATL. I am not implying that every flight is late, but you can see how one hub will affect the other hub with greater magnitude.
