I love it, a 30 post thread and 5 are about the original "Airplane, flying thingy" topic and the other 25 are about something important and meaningful...

GOOD BBQ!

Llano (6R9) is about 60nm northwest of Austin. If any of you can get your planes in and out of 4200' - I HIGHLY recommend Cooper's. Mmmmmmm....D@MN!!!!

dont you guys know that crap is BAD FOR YOU...are we all current on AED's??? :)

NO BBQ, No more than 2 drinks on an overnight, and NO SLEAZY WOMEN....even in Amsterdam, Prague, Moscow, or Keflavik........

Set good examples for the younger folk coming up in this business(younger than 23yrs).........

Gulfstream 200,Now wait a min. if not for some of those perks I would have become a lawyer! Mobs

condemmnation

in my experience...the best BBQ only comes from a condemned building. you know the one with the low ceilings and warped frame, settling foundation (assuming it even has one) and a sawdust covered floor. the building build origionally around the giant brick grill meant to feed a huge throng of hungry after church crowds. old enough the spices have been cooked into the brick itself. permanently smelling like its cooking something. when you ask how hot the hot is, and the owners son who grew up on the stuff says 'it's pretty **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** hot'.....that my friends is the best place to find your favorite food.

if you get a chance...in terre haute IN. look up 'Big Shoe's'. been around since the 40's. family run. good stuff. stop in every year on my way to the indy time trials.

mmm

honestly people. Making my mouth water...I havent had some good BBQ since I was last in Alabama. Out in midwest, cant find much good BBQ:(
especially not in the dorms ;)

Alright, since we've left the "cook it yourself" BBQ into the commercial venue, next time y'all are in Huntsville, AL, there is a joint just west of the airport off the interstate. I can't for the life of me remember the name, but I could find the place in my sleep. I was dining there for lunch one day and Hewey (SP?) Lewis landed on a cross country flight for take-out. If you're not into BBQ (shame on you), then get the catfish!

Another to try is Sconyer's in Augusta, GA. Melt in your mouth with a variety of sauces.

NO BBQ, No more than 2 drinks on an overnight, and NO SLEAZY WOMEN

G200, I'm getting old enough now to only have the BBQ (w/o sauce), one drink (red wine for the heart) and just look at the beautiful women :D
