The M&I or Meaning and Intent section.Waiting for the Qand A? What is that?
And how do you feel about their performance right about now?Xarmflyr Guys who commute are on the BoD now, 2 for sure.
If this Q and A has meaning, then why did they vote on it before it was complete? The M&I or Meaning and Intent section.
There are several vague sections and the BOD asked senior management what they meant at the BOD meeting when they voted. Senior management answered (evidently to the BOD's satisfaction), and said they'd come up with exact wording.
So our NC is down in MCO right now finishing up that M&I language with Questions and Answers with specific scenarios to include in the T.A.
When they're done, you'll see the T.A. come out about 24-48 hours later. They are working through the weekend if they can't finish today.
The Board didn't have to vote on whether to send this thing out to the membership before the Q and A was complete. If it means that much then it seems like maybe they should have waited until it was complete to make a decision.Xarmflyr Guys who commute are on the BoD now, 2 for sure. The Q&A's are the non lawyer speak that defines the intent of the contract. It's just as serious as the wording. That can change the wording from crap to a slight sour taste or even better. The Q&A's were to be done before we knew we had a TA, but the company spilled the beans. And now the Pilots are pissed and they havent even read the full document. If it sucks it needs to die.
So you're voting yes then?Hell you may make them happy if you recall, spend time at home and drink beer? So whats the down side for them. If I was then Id say please. But a merger without the BoD, not very bright I'd be concerned.
Not sure what you mean by get involved, but these guys have lost my confidence and I don't think we could do a whole lot worse. No Im waiting to see the whole thing till I vote, but Im leaning to no. But if you do vote no are you going to get involved after the vote?
I already had a check airman tell that if this doesnt pass the company will be pissed and drag it out another two years. I say BS, without a contract where will they get financing for the merger or for our new airplanes. This POS needs to go down and go down hard.
Catchy pilot metaphor FL.Simple, to get involved means run for office and/or pick up a picket sign. If people wont do either than you will see a POS TA every day of the week because it shows that the group has lots of noise and no bite. If you vote the TA down you WILL have to pickup the picket sign, thats how it works. Ive done it got the T-shirt. A union is not AP or the BoD its pilots who take a stand and back it up. Im on the picket vol list are you? If not pick up the phone and do so, or vote yes. Your responsibility is more than a vote its also your action to back the vote in either direction you choose and it should never be taken lightly. I am not trying to look at this with emotion but with what are the facts, I dont know all of them yet, but I have a strong idea and that is why a lean (a lot) to no. Pilots make decisions based on the best information at hand and we dont have the full ATIS (TA) for this ILS yet. So lets figure out if its CatI or CatIII before we get to Mins.
Yes, I will be there when its time to walk in circles.
....where will they get financing for the merger....
Why would the president of the union be in the CP's office during the conference call? Is that normal? Who was in there with him?
