Next time youre in DFW, look on the west side of the airport over by the AA hangars. Near there is an 80 that is covered with like a fine mist of bronze or something. Does anyone know what the shizzle is with this aircrizzle?

I do believe that is an F-100 over there. Not an MD-80, I believe. My guess is that is the a/c that had one of the main gear break off on landing a couple years ago. It has been there for a while.

Guesses only, maybe an Eagle or AA guy knows more.

This one is actually an MD-80. The Fokker that had the gear collapse has since been moved. Lately, they have been training the De-Ice crews on this aircraft.

80for80....

I am sure many, if not most, of the people on this board have no idea what 80 for 80 means. Why don't you tell them. What a joke!

JustAPilot.....By the way, YOU ARE WELCOME that we TWA pilots took the majority of the furloughs that you Sky Nazi's would have had to endure following 9/11. Figure AA furloughed around 2,500 pilots. The 1st 368 were hired post merger, so of the next 2150 that would have been furloughed, we took the hit for almost 75% of them. Best X-Mas present you guys will ever get, but at least you appreciate it (NOT), you still hate us. All we did is shield the bottom 2,000 pilots at AA from furlough.

80for80....Right on brother. I am assuming the people bustin out on Eagle flowbacks are trying to figure out how if they are better than the Eagle guys they can't even fly for them. Actually heard it on DFW tower two days ago as an MD-80 from AA climbed out. "Eagle 528 contact departure. He resopnded, no that was AMERICAN 528 to departure." I laughed, like he could get through training at Eagle to fly for them.

As I figured, 80for80 didn't answer the question that was asked of him. The Eagle guys wanted to fly the S80 for 80 hours/month at $80/hour(CA wage). That's what it meant.

TWA 2 ASA- Right on brother!! Thanks for keeping me out of trouble!!! Wil

TWA 2 ASA FO....

I don't remember calling you names or saying anything about how I hate TWA pilots or that you were a furlough shield. I am actually the guy that says hi to all passing pilots in the terminal, it is kinda funny to see how many guys ignore you and I am not just talking about the LLC guys. To this day I have yet to get anything other than the stink eye from any former TWA employees in STL.
