I'm sorry to add to the thread "hijack" but I have to ask...
Why is it that atheists can be so very adamant about spreading their "gospel" ???

It's not atheists knocking on doors in my neighborhood trying to talk me into joining up, that's for sure.

It's the Godless atheists that I fear, for none of them have to answer for their actions. I have yet to meet a respectful atheist. Most all of them have a chip on their shoulder like they were wronged.
In an evil pursuit for power and worldly possessions, wars are fought and blood is shed. Atheists swear God is the reason why wars are fought...dumb*sses need a history lesson

What was the title of this thread again?

Exactly. The flight attendant in the recording sounds like she was the consumate professional until the last breath. May she and the rest of her crew rest in peace as well as all of the others whose lives were taken that day.

Well said!!!! She did one helluva job considering the circumstances she faced.

There is nothing in the world that has caused more death, destruction, heartache and pain then religion.

Radicalization causes death, destruction and heartache; religion doesn't. Radicalization is caused by underemployment, a collective sense of hopelessness and economic impoverishment. Religion, insofar as it has been used, is simply twisted by unethical leadership to motivate a population to actions that that they might otherwise find abhorrent. Nazi Germany is a great contemporary example of this; the "religion" in this case was nationalism, not a belief in a supernatural being. Your statement lacks logic, since it ignores the proximate causes of conflict and concentrates only on the psychological influences "leaders" use on those whom are under their authority. We would be so much better off if we chose to address the true ills of the world versus pointing fingers at ethereal belief systems.

I had an opportunity several years ago to meet Amy Sweeney's husband in D.C. Fantastic guy... He has had to bear a burden most of us can't comprehend. Those FA's did a great job in an impossible situation.

Woo hoo, well said Lowly! Good t hear from ya bro...

Thanks boss! I am getting well, so I guess it is time to start thinking aviation again; of course this means visiting FI to catch up on the current gripes/rumors/gossip!

Are you clowns THAT insensitive that you turn a thread about fellow crew members who met a most horrific death during the worst chapter in US history into a pissing match about religion?!

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. :angryfire

I understand why you would feel that way, but I don't agree it is insensitive. The causes of the event are germane to the subject. I think greater insensitivity is shown when we use a tragic incident to reinforce hateful values instead of seeking an understanding of the root cause. Doing so only makes a senseless tragedy even more sad and pointless.
