If that is your state of affairs, then for you, I feel sorry! I hope you can change your outlook when the time comes.

God Bless!

And perhaps someday you'll be able to overcome your fear and the fairy tale that helps you deal with it.

Reality Bless!

Mamba,

It's ignorant and foolish comments like yours that the world must forget. The world can't blame a religion or region of the world on "mind washed" individuals who commit these crimes and action in the name of a religion.

There is nothing in the world that has caused more death, destruction, heartache and pain then religion.

You ALL need to get a grip. But hey, if denial is your game...so be it! I am just telling you that you will be in for one big surprise in the end. Good Luck!

I guess there is always a chance that your right, there could be a god and an afterlife of some kind. Problem is, you have to die to find out and if your dead you can't communicate with the living. So really NO ONE knows! That is an indisputable fact.

Ahhh, Pascal's Wager. The last resort of the religious in matters of trying to convince the "lost". Well, last resort if you don't include senseless violence. I'll see your Pascal's Wager and raise you Russell's Teapot.

It's wonderful that we live in a country and in a time where one may worship any god they choose in any way they they please...so long as they are not infringing on the rights of others to believe in something else or nothing at all. If only more Christians followed the advice of their holy religious text, particularly Matthew 6:5-7. However, the issue with radical Islam, as well as with Evangelical Christianity, is that they attempt to force their belief on others. When they are unable to change minds with their laughable "evidence", they attempt (and, sadly, oftentimes succeed) at forcing their belief by way of government regulation of things they oppose. So many Americans oppose Radical Islam, as they should...however, Evangelical Christianity is just as guilty in the destruction our the freedoms our country enjoys.

The parallels are disturbing when you step back and look at it objectively. Sure, Christians aren't blowing themselves up at the local supermarket...yet. However, you don't see much of "Christ's love" when someone kills an abortion doctor or a fellow human of differing belief or national origin dies tragically. The greatest argument against any religion is the archaic text from which it is derived...and the general populist nature of it's followers.

Long and short: this (mildy NSFW language).

The ease of a hijacker getting into the cockpit back then was criminal. I always thought that our required response of dealing with hijackers and cooperating would end in disaster. They knew our weakness and took advantage of it. Things are different now. Now this couldn't take place. We have to understand that there are a lot of crazy people in this world and whether their crazy religion or their crazy self motivates them we always have to be ready. Guns in the cockpit and cabin people protecting the cockpit should have been a standard 30 years ago.

I'm sorry to add to the thread "hijack" but I have to ask...
Why is it that atheists can be so very adamant about spreading their "gospel" ???

They seem to not only want to rebut the idea of God and religion, but to absolutely slay anyone who might be religious, or says "God bless" or "Merry Christmas."

Without adding anymore to the argument I will say this...
In the grand scheme of things the human race and human thought, about God or anything, are very new. There is far, far, far, FAR more unknown about the universe than there is known. So what about a little tolerance? You don't have to be religious or even believe in God to know it is a virtue.
