Southwest chairman Herb Kelleher said his carrier's walk-up fares to St. Louis would be $129 one-way.

Ok, so we are half as cheap and not 4X. Still a better deal.

AA and the rest can be compared to the big oil companies. Gouge and Gouge until someone steps in and puts an end to their BS.
Dude! How can you say that? What's BS is airlines not charging enough for tickets to even cover the fukin flight and making their employees subsidize flights for everybody.

That is probably the dumbest thing I have ever read on flightinfo.

You are proud of this? One day this will bite yall in the a$$

And possibly the reason you aren't in Airline Management. There is always a price for any product, and most products are the same. Price your product to make money, get a good ROI and your company will prosper. Oh, and always send packages via DHL.

Cheap tickets, the airline is making money, no concessions, employees are happy and so are the pax.
What's not to be proud of?
Plus, I think you should wait in the long line of folks that have been waiting for SWA to fall on their a$$ since 1971.

Drain the kool-aid bowl, this is spot on....

AA screwed STL, TWA, and MO. Good for Bond!!

....this about sums it up!

Bond is serving his constituents by trying to revive air service in and out of STL.

TWA used to provide 82% of the flight in/out of STL. There were even non-stop international flight to Europe, not to mention daily trailer park (B747) flight to Hawaii. After the dismantling of the STL hub by AA, he is just trying to get more flights to STL.

The business community has suffered in MO for the lack of direct air service. I am sure this was how he was able to parle the excemption.
