Don't Do It!!

Be patient and things will happen for you here in the states, despite what the wife is saying about the move, you WILL run into a great deal of hardship between the both of you. That it self is not worth all the Jet time in the world!!!

Regarding the question of what is considered PIC, at many carriers now, the application specifically states that PIC is to include only that flight time in which you signed for the aircraft. Also, the "SIC rating" that all FO's are required to have is a type rating. It is an aircraft type rating on your pilot certificate with a SIC restriction. When you upgrade to captain in the same a/c the SIC restriction is removed.

You are correct if you're talking about a type rating in the states... however, a type rating overseas in the left seat or right seat is the same thing... there is no difference between the two like it is over here in the states with the SIC letter. So getting typed in india on the 320 does not mean you can come back to the states and jump into the left seat unless you go through a FAA certified course. JMHO.... still.... good luck whatever you do.

jokemoboy.....

you're still a tool and the only useless arse on this thread.... ( * ).
