The opinions shared, actually are fairly eye opening as to how things have changed over the years from the old crusty guys to the new "SNAP's" (thanks Fury)...

Haha -- well, I ain't sayin' I never have broken any rules...

BUT

In doing so, I've been prepared to accept the consequences for my actions.

In this day and age, if you're <100AGL at 500+ KIAS and you DON'T expect some kind of repercussion...you're smoking crack. I'll agree that taking the guy's wings was a bit excessive, though.

Well, many years ago, I saw two Marine F-4s enter the break with an ARTS groundspeed of 600 kts. (Ouch!) This at an airport that saw it's fair share of military ops on a normal day. They generated about 30 noise complaints in 30 seconds, set off about 150 car alarms in the terminal parking lot, and had golfers across the street diving into sand traps....

That's probably a bit over the top....

Jet noise, the sound of freedom!

Jeez, this thread hasn't died yet??

PS Yea, I know, I just bumped it back to the top...

wow I guess it's nice to see that it's not just the regionals board that degenerates into a p!ssing contest.
Anyway I wonder how many complaints were phoned in on 9-11, and especially how many were by people already hearing the news of the day.
