Sasha,

The reason I consistently post on these threads is because it has turned into "must see TV" and I can't wait to see how many AT Captains fall in above you on your upcoming list via arbitration. What you seem to continue to not understand about the arbitration process is that "who aquires who" doesn't seem to matter to those arbitrators when it comes to the SLI, rather what each side brings to the table, not including pay. You really need Sasha to look at recent awards to get an idea of your future fate. Will GK accept the award? Maybe not, but each of the other Airtran employee groups will accept the offers, meaning AT will become a part of the fold, and that means the pilots will too, eventually. It's your new destiny, and I get to watch it from DTW as I move up the ladder due to our numerous retirements. You thought you were not going to be affected with your 20 years, and now that may not be the case. Stop sweating Mr. Clean!

OYS

You are watching this now unfold from Airtran reserve in ATL. After it unfolds further you will be watching in from the couch of your MoM and Dads because you junior Airtrannies will go bye-bye as we expand Swa flights into ATL and reduce yours. It's already starting. We could go on like that for quite a while. Not that it will matter to you because you will be one of the first ones on the street.

What are the chances of going back to United? I know their SLI is barely moving. Go figure. I also heard the pay and benefits at Continental are much better so that will suck for you. Maybe you could just give it up and get married and have your husband take care of you. Have faith. There are lots of options for you, just none of them in aviation. If it wasn't for your borderline personality disorder I might suggest being a flight attendant since age and weight aren't as much of a factor anymore. GODSPEED!

Please be nice to your AirTran family members.

One Family, One Future by Ginger Hardage
We've had so many important and exciting announcements recently, and I can tell from the comments on SWALife and the conversations I've had with many of you, both Southwest and AirTran Employees are passionate about our future. Integrating two airlines is not an easy process—we said from the beginning that the labor portion of this integration work would be the most difficult. Experts will say that airline integration can’t be done in a smooth and civil way, but if anyone can do it, I believe you can—the 43,000 Employees of Southwest and AirTran. Our competitors who are going through mergers themselves, and those low-cost carriers who have modeled themselves after our business, want nothing more than to see us fail at this. The choice is ours, however, and our future—the future of both Southwest and AirTran, linked together—lies in the hands of our Employees. We have made such great strides, and should be proud of the integration milestones we have accomplished so far. We must focus on working together and treating each other with respect as we move forward. In light of everything going on around us, and the emotions and feelings that go with it, do not lose sight of the fact that we are still One LUV and One Family. Our Culture and our People are what set us apart from the competition—they are our most important weapon. And we must not jeopardize that by disrespecting each other. We simply will not tolerate bad behavior—with each other in the workplace, when sharing thoughts/ideas/emotions in writing, through interpersonal interactions, or on the Employee blog. The success of this integration is critical to the future of this Company, and we must remember to respect one another along the way. Part of our pledge to Employees in our Mission statement says that, “Above all, Employees will be provided the same concern, respect, and caring attitude within the organization that they are expected to share externally with every Southwest Customer.” Our Family is known for Teamwork and how we treat one another—and not just those who are like us or who wear the same uniform, or are in our department. The environment for our industry is uncertain. We face volatile fuel prices, unpredictable Customer demand, changing regulations, a deteriorating economic environment, and fierce competition. We must overcome these challenges in order to prosper. But we can’t do that if we are distracted. As Gary confirmed in his Newsline message this week, “Our jobs are secure at Southwest and at AirTran, and we’re going to work very hard to take care of all of our People.” What's just as important—and I truly hope you consider your personal role in this—is that we take care of each other, each and every day.

Mrs. Hardage's message seems to be code for:

I know the AirTran people are driving you nuts and leave you with the feeling that nothing is good enough for them. This integration needs to go smoothly and it doesn't really matter if their people are integrated or not, we want everything else the company has. So despite their bratty behavior, please be sweet to them and let's not start fight on my g'damned website! I have enough $h1t to do around here.

I would hate to be the Airtran guy out on a trip when my wife reads that.

Not as much as Mrs. Taylor when she heard the "Gays, Grannies and Grandes" tirade.

ooooooo The great and powerful Gary has spoken......with more threats and intimidation!!

Great CULTure!!

Hey, flag ties are cool!

The AT pilots will get a much better senority deal out of arbitration.

The SWA guys know it, and that's they are protesting so much.

AMEN!

IF it goes to arbitration. It now looks like SWA/Kelly may not let it go that far.

How will they/he stop it?
