Well now don't we have a superiority complex!
Tell me Tony what have you done to promote the overall health and welfare of pilots in the profession other than paying your monthly dues and making rubber stamp votes on your periodic TAs?
A real "professional" and a member of a pilot group that enjoys the top-shelf benefits of all this profession can offer would surely extend not only constructive criticism, but more importantly balance such criticism with seasoned advise and support to others who could take such advise and do something productive with it.
Unfortunately for you your choice has been to lower the debate with a holier than thou attitude, and further poison the water among pilots who would otherwise be better served by putting their backs together and working in a more unified and productive way to make this profession what it should be and not what it has turned into.
I hope you feel better now that you've told us how inferior we are as pilots, and its just too bad for us we can't be like you...a shining example of what of a true professional is.
You and your ilk are now the growing majority that roam these boards to do nothing more harrass and belittle other pilots with your simpleton views of how it should be just so you can inflate your fragile ego via a computer terminal. I thought you were cut from a different cloth but boy was I wrong!
My only regret is that jetblue doesn't move express cargo. It would've been fun to watch you squirm.
Where do you see a superiority complex?
Where do you get off assuming I do nothing for the profession beyond paying dues, and WHERE do you get the foolish idea that I rubber-stamp TA's. That's utter IGNORANCE. You have no CLUE what you're talking about.
You want advice? You've been given advice, time and time again, from lots of people, but you're too GOOD for advice. You're too intellectually advanced, socially superior, you continue to IGNORE the advice. The advice all along has been ORGANIZE. JetBlue is different, the management is better, the ideals superior. You don't NEED advice - - you don't NEED to organize.
(Just to be clear, the "you" in the preceding and following paragraphs is the third person "you," and refers to JetBlue pilots as a whole. It does not refer to you, SpeedBird, personally. Feel free to make the application as you deem fit.)
Well... now you do, and now you can expect to get some criticism for "poo-poo"ing the advice. You've made your bed...
I've never called you inferior, and I've never harrassed anyone. I'll not stand by idly, though, when you reap what you've sown and wonder out loud how you got there. I'm telling you how you got there. You relied on management to do the right thing. It's a surprise to you that they didn't. It's not a surprise to the rest of the world. I can imagine how you're kicking yourself for believing that line too long, but you can't blame us for not warning you. (And I didn't say "I told you so.")
You wanna move express cargo? Bring it on!
This didn't have to get personal, you know.
