A Canadian Airline pulls the plug.

Sorry to the Canadian guys who mortgaged their homes for this job. I know it's a hard market in Canada, more difficult than the US. 'Hope Westjet and Transat are hiring.

Their pilots put down $30,000!!!! to get the job. It was a training bond payable over 2 years - most of the pilots, who will get nothing back, only made $35,000 their first year.


A lesson to paying upfront in this environment. Pay for your job, get paid peanuts, lose your job and your money. Pathetic!

Yea, but isn't that about $10.50 US? J/K. Too bad to see another go down the tubes. More and more guys on the street all the time.

Actually, thanks to our government's new policy of raising expenditures while reducing tax income, $30K Canadian is now about $27K US. I can't wait until the Euro reaches $2...
