I was flying on British Airways--Germany on vacation a few months ago. I noticed that the ailerions had servo tabs, is the -300 manual servo assisted or hydrolic? That one kinda got me.

Manual servo assisted for the ailerons and stab, I believe. They can be used with a total loss of hydraulic fluid. But with normal operating system, you do get hyrdraulic assist. The rudder is purely hyraulic, though, and has a backup hydraulic system.

The servo's are the aileron trim. Anyone wanna back me up here?

Thats sort of what I thought. I knew certain airplanes were purely servo assit like the MD-80 and the Twin Otter, but I was'nt sure on the 737.

I thought all the Flt Controls (incl rudder) manual with hydraulic assist? I believe they all work with zero hyd pressure.
