That was one of the best flying videos posted yet!!!!

Nice find.

What kind of Aircraft were they? Russian?
You are a bad A$$ when you are reading the sectional at 10ft and 500kts

French Super E's.

Someone needs to let them know that you can only tie for being the lowest, and earth has a Pk of 1.0. Goddamn!!!!

That being said the coolest flying I've ever done is under 200' and over 450 knots. It's something has to be experienced, you just can't explain it.

very cool, good music

Are they 2 crew airplanes with side by side seating?

Looks like there's a hood for the right seater like the A6 but I can't tell from the angle of the camera. I would think looking outside while going that fast that low would be a priority.

Jeez, I sound like someone from Airliners.net.

Very cool, but I think a lot less than 500kts. Maybe half that. Ever been that fast, that low?

Mirage F1 I believe. Its single seat just the camera was on the right side of the cockpit

yes very cool vid...however i dont think they were doin 500....still way faster than ive ever gone that low....

Nice video. I expected to see white flags near their sectionals too but didn't see any... Reading a sectional at 10 ft - that takes some ball$...

Yes... I have. And their well north of 250 knots. Looks like more than 500 knots, but hard to tell. And their not Mirages, their Super Etendards.

Certainly they couldn't be doing 500 knots....wasn't there a thread about the max IAS under 10k being 250....? that's just nonsense....
And yeah, what kind of airway are they on that low? That guy can't track a course for crap.... he should of gone to Riddle!!

LOL, I just can't tell...are you kidding?

Did you see him check his chart at 20' AGL? For like 5 seconds, he's holding his chart up, rotating it, checking his position while cruising along.

Well, of course they'd be on an MTR or in a MOA/Restricted area. No speed limit there.

I don't think they were doin' 500 cause they weren't rolling on the ridges. Got a buddy who flies B-1s at Warner-Robbins. You got to roll nearly inverted when you go up and down over the ridges or you'll black (red) out from the negative g's at those speeds.

Negative Goat Rider.

Entendard has crucible tail, and AAR probe on center. Two easy tells. (Also look at the intake shots, multiple profile shots, ground attack nose cone, etc.)

Correct answer: Dassault F1 Mirage.

I'll give you one point for Dassault. Now where's those sweet SAAB videos? SF-340s right?

They haven't flown B-1 at Robbins for at least 3 yrs and the B-1's do not roll inverted to cross ridges!

oh yeah..... well one time I was doin' a low pass at my local airport in a C152 at 50 feet and........ oh nevermind..

Is all that hand flown?
Or can it be done with the autopilot?

Exactly my question. Some of that is so low that I find it unbelievable that they would put so much trust in the human hand.

I was driving down I-25 in New Mexico once out past T or C and I hear the unmistakeable roar of afterburners overhead as a German Luftwaffe (he was low enough I could clearly see the Iron Cross on the tail) Tornado Bomber obviously way outside the nearby MOA's comes screaming over the hood of my truck low enough to shake me. Just as my baby girl who wasn't even 2 yrs old yet wakes up in her baby chair and starts screaming "airplane! airplane!" a USAF F-16 gives me a second thrill, just as low, just as fast, in hot pursuit. One of the coolest things I had ever seen in my life up until that point. Those guys were either off course or running way late for Happy Hour back at Holloman.

I-40 in NM by Tucumcari and had 2 B-1s cross over right in front, down low and screamin'...wow! Funkiest thing was 4-wheeling in ID mountains and having a couple Bones blast up the valley BELOW my elevation. Pretty wild looking down on them!
