Well, I have done it. I have hit the 5000 mark. And now, I am ready to make a statement: "I, General Lee, will NOT retire from this board." Nah, I have too much fun. Some people think I am a social retard. Some people think I am a caveman with no life. Wrong. I do have a beautiful wife that sometimes thinks that I do spend too much time on this board. But, she knows that I enjoy it, and we still do other things together when I am home.

So, I have an opinion and I express it often. Some people don't like it, some people don't like me. I can't please everyone. I try to give my opinion and I try to back it up as much as I can. To all of the Comair, Jetblue, and SkyWest pilots out there: I don't hate any of you, it just is too easy sometimes to rag on you. But, you like to rag on us at DL too, and with a possible Chap 11 coming up, I am sure there will be more.

I enjoy this board, I have contributed money to this board (and I will again), and I really enjoy avaition and airlines.

I would like to acknowledge some of my "friends" on this board that have made some of the debate really interesting for me, and helping me to rise to the status of "Master Debator" (say that fast):

1. Fins
2. Surplus 1
3. 79%N1
4. Sleepy
5. Ty Webb
6. Lowecur
7. Jetblue320
8. CMRCAPT
9. CHPRPLT
10. Dave Griffen
11. Micheal707767
12. FDJ2
13. TIM47SIP
14. Russ
15. FL717
16. Skiddrvr
17. Dave Benjamin
18. HeavySet
19. Spinproof
20. Medflyer

I am sure there are others, and I appreciate all of the good debate.

Here's to another 5000 posts by XMAS!!

Is it true that hot air rises to the top? Congrats and make sure you continue to pull the right stick.;)

Congrats General! I'm looking forward to your next 5000 posts. :)

General: Congrats.

May I suggest finally coming up with an avatar?

We are all curious as to what it reveals about your inner child.

Congrats General, and I second Goggles, you should get an avatar, it's the only face we have here on Flightinfo.

I will look into an avatar. I am trying to make myself as mysterious as possible. And, I think Dave Griffen took the General Lee Car photo.

Bye Bye--General Lee

General:

:)Cheers:) I would lift a glass to your health and providence but I have to run to the airport and bring you some more passengers.

Thanks for making the debate so much fun.

Not making the top 18 "Buddie list" saddens me somewhat.......but then there's only so much room an inflated ego can share.

There you are. Check it again.

Hahahahaha :)

But would you really want to be on any list Ty Webb was on? :D

THANKS !!!! I feel much better :D

Hey General,

You can rent my avatar if you' like. It looks as though R.E.Lee is taking a nap.

If we all pitched in a $1, we can get the General the therapy he desperately needs. 5000 posts is really a cry for help.

Just kidding with ya General.

The only thing more sad than you posting 5,000 times is that I have read most of them. Often on the receiving end from the grassy knoll I raise a cup of Blue Juice to your achievement.

Congrats,

Counselair:D

Could you please go into much, much more detail? Slowly, please, slowly. ;)

But really, General, congratulations. Your accomplishment here rivals, well, really nothing of any consequence, but...oh well. It is a big number and you are a big member. :D

How do you do that many posts without merely answering your own threads? Like many here, we never let reality interfere with our perception of how things should be.........

I'll scoop up a handful of change from the bottom of the fountain at the Greek Isles and buy you a beer sometime General. Congratulations.

What real achievement is made by posting 5000 times on a forum?

Are congratulations really in order?

Quite frankly I find it rather...strange.

Thanks dude. I really enjoy this board, and I have for awhile. I have other hobbies, but I still enjoy debating the airline industry. If you can't understand that, then too bad. Go read a Time Magazine.

Congrats

Way to go Ol' Buddy! And thanks for including me in your Top 20 List. Wow, Number 7, not bad.....

Now, back to the debates;

What was that you were saying about Song serving all three NY airports a while back? I seem to remember you throwing jabs at JB because we only served one.

Oh well, just thought I would keep the fire going. I haven't been posting much at all lately. Too busy trying to lower my scores on the golf course!;)

Take care Buddy.

Believe me, I really understand that you like to debate the airline industry. Some people love to argue and I'm glad there is a place like this so you can have your fun. To each their own.

I just find it strange that not only do you feel compelled to acknowledge yourself of being so active on this board, but that congratulations are in order. For what?

When one is congratulated it is for something accomplished. What have you accomplished here by posting 5000 times?

Guess I'm not going to make your list. ;)

Congrats, General

We all should nominate you to be inducted in some sort of hall of fame like flightinfo.com whore.
It also looks like you got more postings on here then I do flight hours. Just try not to get typers cramp.

In some ways I was making fun of myself. I don't need the "congrats" from everyone. I was amazed myself that I hit a mark like that. But, I do enjoy this forum and I actually do get laid quite often.

I couldn't forget my favorite Jetblue debating partner. As far as EWR, yes, you guys will now serve all three (although our mainline still does---but not Song). And, YOU CAN HAVE IT. EWR is a pain, and it has taken me awhile to acknowledge it. So is LGA, but it is actually fun to do some of those approaches. Keep having fun on that golf course---ATL has been soaked. 22 out of the 31 days in July were soakers. I would have to get up super early to golf in ATL, and I already do that for my San Juan turns. Take care.

I missed making fun of yourself. The weakness of this form of communication. I can appreciate that.

Getting laid often! Now thats something to be congratulated for.

Congratulations!!!:D ;)
