By the way, 3M has recently hired two pilots to more or less meet the requirements of their Human Capital department and shouldn't have any requirements for new-hires for a while.

Just to throw in my two cents... I know several people who have either been hired by 3M or offered jobs there. You, first off, better know someone within the department, as with any corporate flight department. Secondly, 3M had a policy that they only hired ex-military. They strayed away from that for a few people, and the results were not what they liked. So you better have some sort of mil in your background to even get a hint of interest....

IMHO....

Oh, if you're conservative, you don't want to live in MSP. It's the only large city in the Midwest that is just like living on the West Coast.

Ever heard of Chicago??

BBBzzzz... Urban legend... I didn't know anyone at my current employer, we have also hired a few others that were unknown... I know many departments who have hired "unknowns"...

Oh yeah, I know that there are people out there who walk into the office not knowing a soul. But those are not the norm. But hey, it's obviously worked out for you very well... Nice job!

Hi!

If you think Chicago is liberal, you really don't want to live in MSP.

Actually, MSP isn't really liberal, because it's in the US. The last liberal left the US years ago.

It's so bad now that Richard Nixon would win the nomination for the Democrats in 2008. The Republicans would say he's too liberal.

Additionally, the G350/G450 benefits from the new FADECs and Auto-Throttles and is flown at Vref +5 rather than Vref + 10 as is done on the G-IV.

I'll be looking forward to ref +5 in a G450. The speeds in the IV @max lnd weight can seem fast when jumping back from a V. Also, I have to admit that in a GV I sometimes feel that I am going to fall out of the sky at ref +5.

Concur, Palomar is no problemo in a mid weight dry rwy scenario in a IV and almost a no brainer in a V. The traffic is worse than the runway. Be ready for an RA. :)

And a moon-landing might not be bad either.
