I talked to a MX controller today and 3 jets were on their way to be parked today. It sounds like 2 went for sure and there was a possible problem with the 3rd. It is a different facility then the last. A place between Tucson and PHX. The facility will put engine covers on and has a schedule to follow. Every 15 days the need to fire them up and wipe down the struts. It is a repair facility and thats all we know.

So who is doing these flights.... Haven't seen any in open time. Are they sending the training dept. guys out on these?

I flew the last revenue leg in 510XJ from PIT to MSP and took it too the hanger. Yes a reserve crew was taking it the next morning. The mechanic who parked us at the hanger told us a few interesting things. They were origanally told that they had to do 72 engine swaps to get the engines on their original frames. Last week they had them stop. All the planes that were supposed to go to the desert were leased by Wells Fargo. At the last minute something changed and the aircrafts there were to leave were changed and MX was told they had 30 other engine swaps that they would have to do over the next few days. Maybe they worked something out with Wells Fargo. The aircraft that didn't gete sent yet was having a major repair done on the gear. Sounded like a crack on something. The mechanic was pissed because management was telling them to send things as they were and not to make repairs that should be done on some things.

They sent our mechanics to AZ to finish up the job. It was very difficult to get the planes that needed engine swaps in MSP so they sent the mechs to AZ.
