U do realize that it doesn't go into effect til August 10 right?!

That is not what the federal law says. The credit for a restricted ATP may be what you are talking about.

It looks like I jumped the gun. I retread the bill and it appears it passed aug25,2010 and ATP is required in 3years from that date. Nevertheless, I heard the American Eagle will have at least 100 pilots that won't qualify due to insufficient flt hours and also heard Silverwings has some pilot that are less than 23 years old. So I was wondering if anybody has any other info on pilots being affected.

No, it went into effect today.

You can now get a restricted ATP at 21 years of age.

They've had three years. They knew this was coming. If people did get laid off it wasn't a surprise.
