suppah,

you don't vote in ALPA because you like everybody - you vote them in because of the benefits for yourself. ASAP support, jumpseat help, a CONTRACT, negotiations with the company, grievance disputes, etcetera.

It's like going to war. You don't like every American but you fight for America because of principle.

Agreed... just switch America for The Profession....

Professional pilots can't look out for only themsleves... they must also look out for the profession. Bringing on a union enables one to do that.... without a union then it is just individual contractors working for an hourly rate...

Believe me i get this. I am talking about the large number of voting pilots that you get about 30 secs of their attention to promote the union to. fear is louder than reason and most pilots aren't going to do a heck of a lot of research on their own.

And this is not just a cjc thing it is the same in this presidential race and any election.

Trying to cut some of the fuel of fear is all we are asking for. Just to aid in the campaign not because it is unfounded or invalid.

You got it... for a proud democratic-freedom loving group of Americans we sure do suck at the practice...

Colgan Pilots, I am a pinnacle pilot and I rarely ever post on here anymore and I can tell you that Alpa is not perfect by any means, but if we combine together under the same union, we will be able to fight together to make it better under one seniority list. If we do not, or if we have different unions, Pinnacle will use that against us, threaten us against each other, and possibly transfer planes to one another. Under one list we can take two of the most fuel efficient planes on the market q400, crj900 and grow and share that growth together.

Plus if you take our pilot group and your pilot group and combine them together, it would be sort of like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9qGSYPc42E

Good luck and no matter what you feel, vote so you can be heard.
