I'll have to say that 99% of the pilots I have met have been great people, no matter what airline, job, school, etc. Venting is a great way to relieve the stress of the industry. We need it. All in all, pilots are a great bunch of people and I have nothing but fun when we all get together...
hey afellowaviator, you really make me laugh. thanks for the amusement. you sound like a fool. i sure most agree w/ me. i have friends that work for comair, great people, and the good thing is that most don't feel the way you do. i feel sorry for you.
The EICAS screen displays the engine instruments, CAS messages etc. It is located between the Cpt's and FO's PFD and MFD's The MFD displays your route, etc. They also have system pages that you can call up. For example, the electric system can be displayed along with many others on the MFD...
I had 2 eagle guys in my class at ACA. It is a lateral move in that you go from one regional to another, but according to them they made a step up in their careers.
Bases are IAD , ORD, CVG, and BOS.. CRJ's based in IAD and ORD. J-41's based in IAD. 328's in BOS and CVG. As of Nov. 1 LGA will be closed. Used to be a 328 base. Looks like we will be getting a lot more routes out of CVG though.

I wanted more than anything to fly 727's, dc-8, etc. And still do, but I got to admit I'm getting used to my new glass cockpit. Who knows, the way this industry is maybe someday I will get my chance.
I'm sorry you're not happy, then maybe you should not be in this industry. People who never been-there are the ones that care. 18K flying something is better than making 0k flying nothing. Granted I wish it was more, but it is not. I will live with it until things change. I'm having a...
Haven't heard anything on Comair opening a new base. Aca will still have a base at Boston though. We will still be flying the LGA routes, but we'll be starting them out of Cinci. So no more Lga base.
I'm glad they say something. We do not need pilots who are drunk or who have been drinking on the job. There is no need for it. If it happens to be that the pilots weren't drinking, the tests will prove it. If they were, then they do not deserve to be in the cockpit. If the pilots can't...
