    Aircraft Brokers

The actual transfer of ownership is quite simple. Bill of Sale and Registration need to be filled out and filed. Of course with a higher dollar asset there are more things to consider. Prebuy inspection is a big part and knowing what kind of inspection to do and what kind of "gotchas" to look...

    MMPR - Puerta Vallarta, Mexico

For our departure from the GA ramp at MMPR it was a little hectic, but considering it was a big holiday weekend in Mexico (Mexican Independence Day) I'd say everything went well. From the time we got to the terminal until we were taxiing out it was just over an hour. The procedure was the same...

    MMPR - Puerta Vallarta, Mexico

We got in to MMPR Wednesday a little after 1200. It took a couple of minutes to figure out where to park and eventually a truck came and marshaled us to a spot. The crew deplaned but the passengers were told to wait in the plane until customs and immigration arrived. It took about 15-20...

    Fltplan.com?

I got a quote for shiggles. It was an easy trip to Mexico, we don't usually use handlers in Mexico but I was curious. Pricing wasn't bad and I talked to THE guy on the phone. It's a small operation so one guy handles all of Latin America. He seemed to be knowledgeable. I would definitely...

    MMPR - Puerta Vallarta, Mexico

I know I am double posting but does anybody have any information about the GA ramp at MMPR? Aerotron really sticks it to you from what I've heard so I wanted to get some info about the GA ramp and who I could contact. Thanks!

    MMPR - Puerta Vallarta, Mexico

We have a trip planned to MMPR in a week and it's been 3 years since i've been down there. I remember Aerotron is the FBO but they charge exorbitant fees and make you buy their fuel. If i recall there is a GA ramp but I don't have any information about it. We do lots of Mexico travel so I...

It's Europe and Asia. You can see Italy over the door and Spain on the nose.

Predator Drones - General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc.

A friend of mine has been working up at Palmdale flying the UAVs for about 10 years. He got the job almost right out of college and as i recall it pays decent. He has no military background. I want to say he was making around $60K back in 02-03 but the pay increases were quick. Not sure what...

    Lr 45 ?

I don't know the reasons why there are issues with a cold start but i suspect it is the cold soaked batteries. If that truly is the case maybe a heater that could blow hot air into the aft avionics bay to preheat the main batteries would work and be cheaper than buying a GPU.

    Lr 45 ?

It's "Not Recommended" to start engines on battery power at or below 0C. We have an APU so it hasn't been much of an issue except if the Emer Batt is a little weak it will draw down the voltage and sometimes even shed some avionics during a start if you leave the avionics masters on. Just be...

King Air day rate pay question...

I agree with Wolfpack. If you can get 200-300 per day plus expenses/per diem i think you're golden. You should also try to negotiate for a higher rate when you act as PIC.

    Recommend me some airplanes

You are correct, but the 40/45 is VERY picky about GPUs. There are some FBOs i have been to with 4 GPUs but only one will work on the 45.

    Recommend me some airplanes

I personally have not operated the 40, only the 45. But I have used a contract pilot that manages and flies a 40 and he says they do Chicago-LA once a month and only when the weather is bad in LA and alternate fuel is required do they need to make a stop. The 40 has a lower BOW and MTOW and a...
