to the good- looks like good mtc, an organized and professionally run operation.
to the negative- you will for the most part be seat locked into the aircraft you're hired for, which will be explained to you in the interview. these are only my personal observations, based on a lot of reading...
i may be wrong, but i too recall that the p-nav's engines were orphans. if you are looking at one that is ready to be replaced, you are likely going to have to overhaul that unit, as there is no ready supply of re-manned engines waiting to be shipped to you. if i recall, the specific model and...
i realize that, what i want to know is do i mail them 1099's, 1040's, or both, or do i hang onto them 'til the interview? the check-list for the application packet is somewhat sepcific in it's language, but doesn't quite list them to be included.
heck, i guess i'll just send it all back with...
in filling out an application for employment with a regional airline (ASA), i noticed that they want to use tax records to substantiate self-employment. no problem, i pay taxes.
what i don't understand is are they going to pull those records on their own, or should i provide them with my...
hey general, thanks for the reply. my question (likely out of ignorance), is that there is obviously a demand for the seats that asa flies for the big D, so why couldn't asa continue to market, sell, and fly those seats as it's own brand in the event of a delta ch 7? what's more, in the event...
hola,
as a potential asa employee, i am concerned with the luming death of delta airlines and its effect on asa. now i realize there is a market demand for the seats that asa flies, and that won't go away, but WHEN delta dies (by strike or liquidation or whatever), what does it mean for asa...
hawkerf/o, if you are saying that it is the same as any other icp type job not being pft, then i agree. if you are saying that it is pft, and different from your example, then i do not for the following reasons:
i understand your example for the g-whatever icp. the #1 thing that allows him to...
don't even waste you time looking into an applicant that doesn't feel right.... just put his paperwork on the back burner until a better applicant comes along. less work for you, no job for him, no problem!
not true pft
maybe i am looking at this wrong, but the eclipse program doesn't exactly meet my definition of pft, because the mentor is not going to be an employee of eclipse.... right? they will in reality be contract pilots.
if that is true, paying to qualify as a mentor is probably a good...
cfi's who work for free are whores. pilots who ferry airplanes for expenses only are whores. regional fo's who pft/j are whores. people who throw the salary curve off the chart to the low side in the market place where i make a living are whores.
may i suggest a way that you can take the...
that was my dream too
when i was a kid all i wanted to do was drive the "dempsy dumpster" truck, you know the kind with the forks on the front.
now, all i wanna do is free dental work on whoring low-ball 24k king air pic's.
then hang it up
if you do this for what is = to no money, you are doing yourself and your family wrong. as if that wasn't bad enough, the worst part is that you are f-ing me over when i try to demand a respectable wage for what i do. i don't take too kindly to that.... but i know you probably...
50k is not unreasonable for 24/7 on-call stuff. A couple of years ago I was flying a cabin class piston twin for that much. Don't sell yourself short, that 24/7 stuff adds up.

look up united west airlines (p135) in florida. i think that the kid who stole the citation WAS working there.... so you know they are short a pilot. i think he was flying n26tz, brad akins airplane.... which looks like it is now flying out of klzu but on the p135 certificate. google them for...
any world airways types out there know what the term "grade" refers to with regard to job positions within the company? my guess is that it would be in reference to pay, but i don't know. if it is pay, anybody know what a "grade 14" makes? oh, and this is for a non-pilot position.

I weigh in on the bad idea side of this one. I usually refrain from pointing fingers, but this activity was just foolish. The risk is just not worth to possible benefit.
I know I wasn't there, don't know any of those involved, but it doesn't matter.
Flying is fun and we can all enjoy...
